I began dancing with Lydia Kyasht Jnr in 1968 and performed in my first show with the Cirencester Ballet Club as a starry-eyed 4 year old snowflake (1 of 33) in the Snow Queen. At that time I never dreamt that I would be filling her shoes 40 years later, teaching and producing shows.
I became a teacher for the Ballet Club in 1991 and co-choreographed various performances for exams and shows, including Coppelia in 1996. When the Club was reformed in 1998 and became Cirencester Dance Club, I undertook the exciting challenge to be the sole teacher. This has resulted in a over 10 years of tears, triumphs, heartache and laughter.
As well as my love of dancing, my other passion is singing and musical theatre. I have been an active member of Cirencester Operatic Society, both on and off stage, for many years. I have been lucky enough to take various leading roles, but my favourite has been Sally Bowles in Cabaret.
My serious job in life is working for a national bank but more recently I am expanding my skills and have qualified as a Pilates Instructor, which I thoroughly enjoy and teach for Cirencester College.
