Performance & Choreography

An exciting New opportunity to show off your inner talent!

Choreography is a vibrant and  a relevant art to today’s dance industry. It enables students to become creative artists who contribute in the rehearsal room, whether as performers or makers. Students learn to broaden their perspective of what choreography might consist of as well as skills and practice of creating new work. Students will work on individual choreography dances and will also collaborate with each other, sharing ideas and learning to work as part of a team.  They will learn how to structure dance pieces, count music and how to convey steps to others.

PERFORMANCE :
As performers, the students will be exposed to a variety of repertory pieces from different eras as well as new creations made specifically for them. Performances happen in a broad variety of spaces, from theatre to site specific environments. Students will be taught how to connect with their audience, tell a story through dance and grow in confidence to perform to others with a smile!

Come on give it try and release your inner creativity!

Dancers learn to create their own routines, choosing their own steps, learning to use space to tell stories through dance.

This is a collaborative design process, with students using their creativity and dance abilities from other classes to create a unique piece of dance art, expressing their feelings and emotions.

The class aims to help them develop their own solo and groups pieces, building their confidence as dancers and encouraging them to explore emotion and story, alongside musicality and expression through dance.

Dancers are supported in performing their pieces in our shows or at external events if they wish.

This class is great for students who want to do more than their graded syllabus class allowing them to gain performance experience, develop their dance knowledge, ability and flexibility.
